Andrew is a PhD student in MIT EAPS who joined the Tectonophysics group in 2026. His research focuses on active tectonics across timescales. He has a background in tectonic geomorphology, earthquake geology, paleoseismology, and coastal tectonics. Currently, he is working on bridging past earthquake behavior with present-day plate coupling inferred from geodetic data to better understand the deformation pattern and segmentation along the Alpine Fault in New Zealand.
