Caroline is a senior at Wellesley College majoring in geosciences, conducting her honors thesis research at MIT EAPS. Her research asks whether ambient noise monitoring can measure the seismic velocity changes associated with slow slip at subduction zones. She is currently working on the Cascadia subduction zone, building a dv/v pipeline applied to the POLARIS network to detect ETS-related velocity changes and establish the method’s detection limits.
