Emile is a student at Ecole normale supérieure in Paris. As part of his Master’s degree in Geosciences, he did an internship at MIT supervised by William Frank and Louise Maubant. His work focused on the characterization and mitigation of systematic phase biases which distort the interseismic tectonic signal in InSAR displacement time series. This project has been carried out on the Hikurangi subduction zone in New Zealand over the past ten years.
